&lt;p&gt;He invented nothing although he patented a lot of stupid stuff like the shape of tablet, but he did understand that the public wanted technology that simply worked as it was supposed to and was incrementally improved each year. That is somewhat innovative, but certainly not creative.&lt;/p&gt;
